Our Founder

Hi! I'm Mitchell, the Owner of Camp Lantern Candle Co. I grew up in Scouting, and have alway spent a good deal of my time outdoors. I have always held the memories from these experiences very close to my heart. Combining my love for the great outdoors and my love for candle making was an obvious choice. I hope every Camp Lantern Candle provides a moment of serenity and relaxation, as you illuminate your journey with us.

Our Mission

Camp Lantern Candle Co. was founded to create premium, clean burning candles, with a sustainable outdoor focus.

Why Candles?

As a brand, we saw a problem with the general state of candle making. Mass market candles use paraffin wax, which leave carcinogens in the air that you breathe, made cheaply, at the expense of your own health. On the other side of the spectrum are luxury candles. While there is a space for them, we think that you should be able to indulge in your favorite scents without breaking the bank.

That’s where we come in!

Camp Lantern Candles are made with premium soy wax and fragrance oils, but should never break the bank. All of our candles are handmade in small batches, so we can insure the highest quality in all of our products.

Each of our candles are carefully crafted using eco-friendly, sustainable materials. We use 100% natural soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and cotton wicks to ensure a clean, long-lasting burn. Our scents are inspired by the wilderness, from the refreshing aroma of pine forests and mist, the comforting smell of marshmallows around a campfire, or even the warm first rays of sunshine. Whether you’re looking to unwind after a long day or set the mood for any activity, our candles are the perfect companion.

This means that your Camp Lantern Candles are lead and zinc free, and will NEVER contain phthalates, animal deriviatives, carcinogens, toxins, and mutagens. We want you to feel safe and comfortable lighting these candles in any environment.
